Free Bet Blackjack from Evolution is a live dealer game of blackjack where players get free bets on specific doubles and splits during the game. Evolution has two versions of the game: Seven-Seat Free Bet and Infinite Free Bet.
Similarities to regular blackjack
Free Bet blackjack and regular blackjack both use a shoe with eight decks of cards, and the dealer gets two cards. The dealer peeks for blackjack and stands on all 17s (hard or soft). You can double down on your initial two cards when playing on a blackjack app or split any pair. Split Aces only get one card, and there are no Doubles on Splits.
Main differences from regular blackjack
You receive a free Double-down bet if your first two cards equal 9, 10, or 11, and a free Split bet on split pairs. When the dealer busts on 22, all winning player hands are ‘pushed,’ and bets are returned to players.
How to play
You will place a bet on the table and have the option of placing side bets. The dealer will signal No More Bets and deal the first two cards to the Player and Dealer positions. If the dealer shows an Ace, he will offer the table the insurance bet, which gives payment security. The dealer then peeks at his hand. If he has blackjack, the game is over, and all bets are lost. Players who took insurance are paid 2:1.
If the dealer doesn’t have blackjack, players must decide whether to hit, stand, double, or split. Once they have done so, the dealer reveals his hand. If both hands have the same value, it’s a push, and the player gets the initial bet back. Players who have better hands than the dealer are paid 1:1 on a bet. If the dealer has busted, all winning players get even money on their bets. If the dealer busts with 22, all winning player hands are pushed.
Side bets
Side bets aren’t free, but they add spice to the game. For example, an Any Pair side bet in Seven-Seat Free Bet pays out if the player’s initial two cards are a pair. Suited pairs pay 25:1, while a mixed pair pays 8:1.
Strategy
Just because you can get free bets doesn’t mean you should take them every time. You should always follow a basic strategy if you want to make money online, even if a bet is free.
